The Order of the Common Life is a global ecumenical religious order reimagining monastic vocations for the 21st century for the whole Church. By sharing a common rule of life rooted in ancient Christian rhythms and practices—thoughtfully explored through the traditional stages of monastic formation in postulancy, novitiate, and vows—the Order is inviting ordinary people into a decade or more of formation through deep commitments in their everyday lives that notice and nurture the transforming love of God in their own life, in others, and in the world around them.
