Nancy Chan is director of philanthropy for Anthony Wood, CEO of Roku. Previously, she led monitoring & evaluation for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative's Justice & Opportunity Initiative. She provided research and strategy consulting for philanthropy, government and corporate clients through her work at Arabella Advisors, SRI International, and Urban Institute. At Arabella, she compiled recommendations to incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion principles in grantmaking (download at equityinphilanthropy.org; refer to SSIR article, “Eliminating Implicit Bias in Grantmaking”). She also worked at tech companies Adaptec, Palm, and Catalyte. She has a BSc in electrical engineering from MIT and a MPP from Georgetown. In her spare time, she maintains a blog on transitions into social impact careers at socialimpactyodas.org.
