David Araya is the Co-founder and CEO of HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education) with over 10 years of experience working with youth, families, stakeholders and school districts. As a social entrepreneur, he turns ideas into reality, leads teams effectively, and manages the everyday demands of a thriving organization. David co-founded HoPe because he believes every student is one caring individual away from being a success story and through HoPe they are elevating students and creating a pathway to and through high school and college. David was recently honored as a "40 Under 40" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, recognized as one of "The Top 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia" by the GHCC, and received the Educator Hero Award by Telemundo Atlanta. He was selected as a 2019 Braves Country Community Hero Award, selected as a recipient of the 2019 Univision Corporate "Lo Nuestro" Recognition, selected as a 2019 Stand Together Foundation Catalyst Network Fellow and recognized by Fox Broadcasting Company as 1 of 11 Home Free Heroes. He is a Praxis Nonprofit Fellow Alumni and LEAD Atlanta Alumni. David is originally from Costa Rica and his priorities in life are faith, family, and service. His greatest joys are his wife and two daughters and currently resides in Georgia.
