David Araya is the Co-founder and CEO of HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education), Inc. Personally impacted by the day to day struggles of immigrant youth in America, David co-founded HoPe at the age of 18 to provide high school students a community in their schools to belong and succeed. Within 12 years, HoPe has expanded its youth after-school programming to 71 high schools in Georgia, North Carolina and California building communities for students to and succeed through leadership development, educational attainment, and community service initiatives. HoPe has helped students earned over 20 million dollars in scholarships and grants and boasts a 100% graduation rate among its students. David was recently honored as a "40 Under 40" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, recognized as one of "The Top 50 Most Influential Latino's in Georgia" by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for multiple years, and received multiple other recognitions. He is a Praxis Nonprofit Fellow Alumni, LEAD Atlanta Alumni, and Stand Together Catalyst Fellow Alumni. David's priorities in life are faith, family, and service, and his greatest joys are his wife and three daughters.
