Angela Hurtado is the Vice President, COO and Co-Founder of HoPe. Angela is a social entrepreneur, community leader and motivational speaker. Born in Colombia, Angela arrived to the US at the young age of 8. Angela knows firsthand the struggles many students face to graduate high school and go to college, and strives each day to help students reach their goals. Angela earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College. Angela was recently honored as a "40 Under 40" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and recognized as one of "The Top 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia" by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is a GPEE Education Policy Fellow, a Praxis Nonprofit Fellow Alumni, as was recognized as the "Wonderful Woman of the Year" in 2016 by Wealth Horizon. Angela loves God, her husband and family and being engaged with her community. She is a self-proclaimed foodie and strives to be the change she wishes to see in the world.
