Mallory Dwinal-Palisch has dedicated her career to innovative educational models. She began as a Spanish teacher with Teach for America and, later, co-founded and led the Oxford Day Academy (ODA), a public charter school in the San Francisco Bay Area. ODA has adapted and codified the Oxford tutorial pedagogy for K12 students from all learning backgrounds. From there, she co-founded the Oxford Teachers Academy (OTA), a Bachelor's Degree program that scales the learnings of ODA by training the next generation of classroom teachers — particularly from remote rural areas — in ODA's modified tutorial pedagogy. OTA is now a part of Reach University, and has expanded to develop the next generation of teachers in urban and rural communities alike. Mallory graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics, Spanish, and International Studies; additionally, she holds a Ph.D. in Education from Oxford University (dissertation focus: rural teacher shortages), which she attended as a U.S. Rhodes Scholar, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She currently lives in California with her husband, Chase; their dog, Huckleberry; and their cat, Spartacus.
